Free garden talks at Keyport GardenWalk

This year’s Keyport GardenWalk will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 7-8, rain or shine, throughout historic Keyport.

The free event is a self-guided walking and biking tour of over 35 public and private gardens.

Two free talks on gardening will also be held at 9:30 a.m. on both days in the council chambers at Borough Hall on 70 W. Front St.

“Four Seasons of Color in the Garden” will be presented by Diane Guidone of Diane Guidone Design LLC on June 7. Guidone received formal training in horticulture and garden design from the English Gardening School at the Chelsea Physic Garden. She has won several awards for her designs. “Nativelicious: Gardening with Edible and Ornamental Native Plants” will be presented by Kim Eierman on June 8.

Eierman is the founder of EcoBeneficial! and an environmental horticulturalist specializing in ecological landscapes and native plants. She teaches at several institutions. For more information, visit www.ecobeneficial.com.
