Conservatory gala’s honoree to play piano

The Monmouth Conservatory of Music, 50 White St., Red Bank, recently hosted its 50th anniversary with a kick-off gala at the Rumson Country Club.

The gala was part of a yearlong celebration of the nonprofit school and included a performance by the Elysian Trio, featuring Elaine Christy, Samuel Magill and Lucien Rinando.

The gala’s honoree was Vladislav “Vladic” Kovalsky, the conservatory’s executive and artistic director. He received special recognition for his 15 years of dedication to advancing the school’s goals from Red Bank Mayor Pasquale “Pat” Menna, Freeholder Director Lillian Burry and Assemblywoman Mary Pat Angelini (R-11).

Kovalsky will play the piano at a solo concert at 4 p.m. May 25 at the conservatory. The concert is free, and reservations are not needed. A reception will follow the performance.
