HAMILTON: Woman carjacked by knife wielding suspect

   A 17-year-old Florence resident allegedly held a knife up to a woman’s throat before he made off with her car on Erman Court at 3:31 a.m. Wednesday morning.
   As the victim started to scream the suspect told her to shut up. As she backed away from him she tripped and fell. He then got into her car and drove down Massachusetts Avenue toward Greenwood Avenue, according to Hamilton Police Division.
   Officers Christopher Schuster and Jonathan Woodhead later located the victim’s unoccupied car on English Avenue in Trenton.
   The suspect was described as a black male with a thin build, approximately 5-foot-7-inches tall, 16-17 years old and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, according to police.
   Just prior to the carjacking at 3:15 a.m. the same juvenile allegedly robbed a man at knifepoint on the 200 block of Connecticut Avenue. The victim threw money and his cell phone at the suspect and then ran from the suspect. The suspect was described as a black male, 6 feet tall, approximately 17-23 years old and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. The victim last saw the suspect walking down Greenwood Avenue toward Lynwood Avenue.
   During the course of an investigation, supervisors and officers from the Patrol Bureau along with detectives from the Operations Bureau were able to develop information that resulted in complaints being filed against a 17-year-old male juvenile from Florence for robbery, carjacking, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon. Additionally, complaints have also been issued for possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, carjacking and kidnapping of a Domino’s Pizza employee, which occurred on Sunday, March 16, on Erman Court, according to police.
   The suspect was taken to Burlington County Juvenile Detention Center.
