Alice Goldstein, 89, of Manalapan, died May 27, 2014, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in New York City and raised in the Bronx, N.Y., she moved to Brooklyn, N.Y., in the 1970s where she remained before moving to Covered Bridge, Manalapan, 12 years ago. Mrs. Goldstein was a receptionist for the Y.M.H.A. in Brooklyn for many years and was a salesperson for E.J. Korvettes department store, New York City. She was a member of the Union Hill Congregation in Manalapan. She was predeceased by her loving husband Sidney Goldstein in 2008. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Hal Goldstein and Barbara Stone Goldstein, of Manalapan, her sister, Sarah Matlowsky, and her granddaughters, Erika and Allison. Services were held at Bloomfield Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan, on May 29. Interment was at New Montefiore Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y.
