   The Horsemen’s Association of Millstone will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. at the Millstone Community Center on Stagecoach Road (next to the firehouse). All who have an interest in horses can attend the meeting and learn about upcoming trail rides and other activities. Visit www.hamt.org.

   Storybooks in Action will be held at 10:30 a.m.at the Robbinsville Branch of the Mercer County Library System. Register online at www.mcl.org . Come watch the animated version of a storybook and make a craft. Online registration begins on June 6. This class is for children ages 2 and up accompanied by an adult.
Wed., June 25
   The Kickoff Party for the Robbinsville Branch, Mercer County Library System’s Summer Reading Program for children, ages 2 to 18 will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Our theme this year is “Fizz Boom Read.” Children can register at the Kick-Off Party, and enjoy the strolling magic of Matt Schick, crafts, and prizes. The program begins Mon., June 30, and will run through Fri., Aug. 8.
   A Car Show and Bike Night sponsored by the Upper Freehold/Allentown Alliance to Prevent Alcoholism & Drug Abuse will be held from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Cream Ridge Golf Course, 181 Route 539, Cream Ridge.    The Fair Winds Horse Farm, 74 Red Valley Road in Cream Ridge, holds an Open House from 1 to 4 p.m. The events of the day are free and will include, pending availability, a chance to see a rare white Standardbred, a 2-year-old colt named White Bliss, born at Fair Winds in May 2012. White Bliss, whose birth was a 1 in 200,000 occurrence, is now in training and may race this season. Blacksmith Tom Mulryne will do demonstrations of how horses’ feet are kept healthy. There will be kids’ activities and information from the NJ Farm Bureau , FFA , Harness Horse Youth Foundation , Pony Club , Rutgers Equine Science Center and the Monmouth County 4H .

   The Millstone Friends are sponsoring a 50-50 raffle to support historic preservation and cultural enrichment. The drawing will be held, at 4 p.m. at the Thomas Baird Homestead, 24 Baird Road, Millstone Township The ticket price is $10. Send a check payable to “MTFHRP,” PO Box 216, Perrineville NJ 08535. Include name, address, phone and email, and the ticket will be mailed to the purchaser. Winners need not be present at the drawing, and absentee winners will be notified.

   A used book sale will be held Friday, from 10-6 p.m. and Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at New Egypt Elementary School, 44 North Main St., New Egypt. Proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Plumsted Township Library. There will also be a special “Kid’s Time Only” Thursday from 12-6 p.m. Adults must be accompanied by a child.    What Knott Farm Traveling Petting Zoo will be at visiting the Robbinsville Branch of the Mercer County Library System from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Space will be limited and attendees will be taken on a first come first served basis. For children of all ages. Registration is not required.
Recurring events
   Winter storytime sessions at the Allentown Library. Stories, songs and fun activities every Thursday at the library at 16 S. Main St., Allentown. No registration required.
   The schedule includes Good Morning Storytime from 10:30 to 10:50 a.m. for ages 3 and under with a parent or caregiver (siblings welcome); Preschool Storytime from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. for ages 3 to 5; and Family Storytime from 2:15 to 2:45 p.m. for all ages.
