Police are investigating whether the burglaries of three cars, which were reported to police between 10:24 a.m. and 11 a.m. June 3, may be related, according to police Lt. Joseph Amodio.
Two of the cars were parked at the New Jersey Athletic Club on Quakerbridge Road, and the third car was parked at Camp Bowwow on Bakers Basin Road, Lt. Amodio said. The rear driver’s side window was smashed to gain entry to the cars.
A handbag was taken from a 2005 Honda Odyssey minivan while it was parked at the New Jersey Athletic Club between 9:20 a.m. and 10:24 a.m., Lt. Amodio said. The purse contained a wallet, cash and personal papers.
A Coach pocketbook was stolen from a 2009 Honda CRV that was also parked at the New Jersey Athletic Club between 10 a.m. and 10:20 a.m., Lt. Amodio said. The pocketbook contained cash, a wallet and credit cards.
At Camp Bowwow, a purse was reported stolen from a Jeep Liberty sport utility vehicle at 10:42 a.m., Lt. Amodio said. A credit card was used to purchase gasoline at a Hess gas station at an unknown location. The victim also lost cash from the purse.
