Each bag is weighed is weighed at 13 to 15 cents a pound and all donations go to The Ladies Auxiliary. In the past the organization has made close to $1,000.
The Jamesburg Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary was incorporated in 1939 and they support the firehouse by providing clothing, shoes, and whatever else the fire house needs, said Michelle Delvecchio, Reporting Secretary of the Ladies Auxiliary.
The auxiliary offers two scholarships every year to Monroe High School students for community service and fire service.
Ms. Cooper said the clothing drive was "very beneficial" and though they only have 15 members, they are growing and getting bigger.
