The Hunterdon Symphony will continue the Music Under the Stars summer concert series July 3, with Americana music. The show will be followed by fireworks.
The Allentown Community Concert Band, following the example of 19th-century musical Americana, is the featured artist. Its concert concludes at 9 p.m. followed by a fireworks show sponsored by the Hunterdon 300th Committee and its partner, the Flemington–Raritan Parks and Recreation Committee.
Hunterdon County’s 38th anniversary summer concerts will feature local talents each Thursday until Aug. 14 at Deer Path Park, 120 West Woodschurch Road in Readington Township, next to the Hunterdon County YMCA facility.
Shows start at 7 p.m. Bring blankets and chairs.
The county Tricentennial Committee has fully funded the concert series.
Deer Path Park offers room to spread out a blanket, have a picnic dinner, hold an impromptu game of Frisbee or volleyball, and enjoy the playgrounds. A concession stand will be available, courtesy of Pudgy’s Street Food. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
Updated information about the concerts, including rain (concerts would be moved to Hunterdon Central Regional High School), will be posted on the county’s home page and the main Parks and Recreation web page., as well as the Parks Division Facebook page.
Or call the Division of Parks and Recreation and listen to the recording after 4:30 p.m. by dialing 908-782-PARK (7275).
