“Oyster 4” by Annette Margulies “Oyster 4” by Annette Margulies I n what has become a summer tradition, four local artists are once again exhibiting paintings in a range of styles and mediums at the Oyster Point Hotel in Red Bank during July and August.

For the fifth consecutive year, more than 40 abstract and contemporary paintings by artists Annette Margulies, Tyrrell Masse, Edy Ottesen and Leona Tenebruso-Shultes will be on exhibit in the lobby, lounge and mezzanine of the hotel, which is located along the Navesink River on Bodman Place.

The Oyster Point Hotel will host a Meet the Artists reception of wines and light fare 6-8 p.m. July 17.

The award-winning artists are active members of the arts and cultural communities in New Jersey, New York and Florida. Their works are sold internationally, nationally and throughout the tri-state area.

Margulies creates paintings in acrylics and mixed media that she describes as an emotional and spiritual journey, depicting energy, passion, dreams, joy and hope.

Masse works in acrylics, watercolors and mixed materials.

Ottesen divides her painting time between Boca Raton and Monmouth County. Largely a self-taught artist, her paintings range from representational to abstract images, often inspired by nature and painted in brilliant hues. Tenebruso-Shultes works in acrylics and mixed media. Her lyrical abstract paintings focus primarily on color, texture and line work to convey mood and emotion.
