The Monmouth Center for World Religions and Ethical Thought (MCWRET) recently celebrated its 20th anniversary at the Neelam Indian restaurant in Middletown.
The founder of MCWRET, Dr. Roshan Chaddha, and former member Dr. Byron Breese traveled from Virginia and Vermont to address attendees and celebrate MCWRET’s accomplishments during the past 20 years.
MCWRET is sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Monmouth County (UUCMC) and includes representatives of Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Jain and Baha’i traditions. Its stated mission is to enhance the acceptance of religious and cultural diversity by serving as a center for interfaith listening and understanding.
