Bravo to those who put on, pay for fireworks

Along with family barbecues, hot and sultry weather and a trip to the shore, watching local displays of fireworks are a quintessential part of celebrating the Fourth of July.
Bravo to the many local municipalities who budget or raise support to ensure this tradition continues.
This past Saturday, my family enjoyed an annual tradition of gathering a blanket and chair and finding a spot to watch the fireworks in Lawrence Township. Wow, what a display!
As I cuddled up with my 6-year-old son, I was grateful for my local recreation department and for those who contributed to make this one of the best local displays. The fireworks were the best many of us have ever seen, lasting more than 20 minutes and causing drivers along Route 95 to pull over to see the majestic display of colors lighting up the sky.
I will remember this for some time and encourage local residents to remember the hard work and time that goes into helping us enjoy this special holiday. Let’s start getting ready for 2015!
