Police blotter reports
Lambertville resident Elizabeth Bauer, 46, reported a theft of a sage bush July 12.
Ms. Bauer told Patrolman Joseph Weber she had been out of town for the previous two days. When she returned home, a large sage bush, valued at $75, outside of her residence had been cut down and taken away, she said.
Ms. Bauer said she received information of a white male in his twenties had pulled up to her residence in a vehicle, cut the bush down and took it with him. No other descriptions of the male or vehicle were given.
Jamison D. Lauer, 40, of Point Pleasant, was arrested for driving under the influence and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on July 12.
Detective Michael Miloszar stopped Mr. Lauer for allegedly failing to maintain his lane of travel. Mr. Lauer was found to be in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and a glass pipe containing marijuana residue. Mr. Lauer was charged with DUI, failing to maintain lane, refusing to submit to a breath analysis, having CDS in a motor vehicle and reckless driving. He was later released with appending court date.
Lambertville Patrolman Matthew Bast went to the Mercer County Corrections facility on July 7 to retrieve Shante M. Priester, 23, of Trenton, who was being held on a $750 traffic warrant. Mr. Priester was lodged at the Hunterdon County Jail in lieu of bail.
Stephen J. Ingram, 43, of New Hope, was arrested for a $600 warrant, as well as several motor vehicle violations, on July 10.
Lambertville Lt. Robert Brown stopped Mr. Ingram’s vehicle on South Franklin Street after having received a complaint of a possible intoxicated driver traveling north on Route 29. Mr. Ingram was found not to be intoxicated, but his driver’s license was found to be suspended and his vehicle unregistered and bearing license plates registered to another vehicle.
Mr. Ingram was placed under arrest for the warrant and taken to the Lambertville Police Department. His vehicle was towed. Mr. Ingram was issued the following summonses for driving while his license was suspended, driving an unregistered vehicle and driving a vehicle with fictitious tags. A friend posted the $600 bail and Mr. Ingram was released from police custody.
New Hope Police
New Hope police have charged David Dash, 18, of Stockton on June 26with simple assault, harassment, possessing an instrument of crime, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct in connection with an incident which occurred in a West Bridge Street parking lot on May16.
A Trenton woman reported to police at 11:36 p.m. June 24 that, a short time earlier, she had been assaulted while walking to her vehicle, which was parked on West Mechanic Street. Police have a suspect, and are continuing the investigation.
At 8:43 p.m. June 19 a Philadelphia woman reported to police that, the evening prior, she had been assaulted at a party at a residence on Waterloo Street. Police said they have a suspect, and are continuing the investigation.
The double-sided outdoor sign on the "Vapor Times" store on West Bridge Street was remove, the owner reported to police on June 21,probably during the overnight hours of June 15 into16. It is valued at $100.
