The Shrewsbury Chorale, a mixed chorus of about 70 members, will hold its annual Summer Sing at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 19 at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Monmouth County, 1475 W. The seventh annual Jackson Rotary Foundation charity golf tournament will be held Aug. 18 at the Westlake Golf and Country Club, Jackson. The fee of $130 per person or $520 per foursome includes a continental breakfast, golf with cart, luncheon, beverages and prizes. Also offered is a golf raffle to win one of 18 prizes (golf foursomes with carts to area golf clubs and a set of lessons with the pros at Manasquan River Golf Club.) Price for a ticket is $20. A church yard sale with community tables will be held from 8 a.m. to noon July 19 at the New Egypt United Methodist Church, 38 N. Main St., New Egypt. There will also be an all-you-can-eat breakfast for $6 from 8-10:30 a.m. Proceeds will aid in the rebuilding effort at the Jersey Shore.
A Meet the Mayor session with Jackson Mayor Mike Reina will be held at 7 p.m. July 28 in the main meeting room of the Jackson municipal building, 95 West Veterans Highway, Jackson. Residents may attend and speak with the mayor.
“I Scream, You Scream,” an ice cream social open house, will be held from 5-7 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Goddard School, 178 West Veterans Highway, Jackson. Children of all ages are welcome.
