Story program at park pool
The Red Umbrella/La Sombrilla Roja is hosting a series of story hours for young children at Princeton Community Park, Thursdays, beginning at 4:30 p.m. through Aug. 21.
Stories will be read in English and Spanish. A craft project related to the book and a watermelon party will follow each reading, and participants may select gently used books to take home.
Each week, a community leader will read the featured story.

‘Meet Me in St. Louis’ at Kelsey Theatre
The 1904 World’s Fair is coming to town when the Yardley Players presents "Meet Me in St. Louis," July 18-27 at Kelsey Theatre on the campus of Mercer County Community College in West Windsor.
Based on the 1944 film, "Meet Me in St. Louis" is full memorable music, featuring such classics as "Trolley Song," "Skip to My Lou," "The Boy Next Door" and the title song.

Writing workshop at Morven
Morven Museum & Garden is hosting a creative writing intensive workshop, with classes taking place 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The workshop is inspired by the life of Annis Boudinot Stockton, a former resident of Morven and one of the most prolific and widely published women writers of 18th-century America.Participants will work to sharpen skills, develop consistent writing habits and increase confidence within a nurturing yet challenging writing community. Discussions will concentrate on themes that appear in Anni Boudinot Stockton’s work, in-class writing exercises and daily critique. Led by Arts Council of Princeton instructor Colby Cedar Smith.

Summer concert by the Harlem Quartet
The Harlem Quartet will be featured in the final concert of Princeton University Summer Chamber Concerts’ 46th season on July 21, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The quartet will play works by Mozart, Borodin and Chick Corea.
The New York-based Harlem Quartet has performed both classical music and jazz throughout the United States and in Canada, Panama, Europe and Puerto Rico. Under the auspices of the U.S. State Department, the ensemble toured South Africa, offering concerts and outreach activities.The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall on the Princeton University campus. Admission is free, with tickets distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Richardson Auditorium Box Office. Doors open for the concert at 7 p.m.
