Allstate agency owners and community volunteers will help hundreds of citizens build free disaster preparation kits at the Burlington County Farm Fair
The official hurrican season in the Atlantic region began June 1. To help residents prepare, The Allstate Foundation and Points of Light are briinging their 14-city disaster preparation tour and education campaign to Burlington County on July 19th.
As New Jersey continues to rebuild in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, knowing what to do in times of emergency is critical. Research shows 85% of Americans are unprepared for disaster and nearly half lack essential emergency supplies.
Community volunteers and Allstate Agency owners will work side-by-side to help hundreds of Burlington County residents build free disaster kits they can use to keep safe in the event of a disaster or unforeseen emergency. The kits include a flashlight, first aid kit, cleaning supplies and other items proven to keep people safe and prepared.
This event will also help educate residents on the importance of prepardness.
