Excellent weather, good food by Elmer’s Catering, surprise door prizes and nostalgic music made for a perfect summer picnic at a gem of a place for the Manville Senior Citizens.
Knob Hill in Colonial Park was the perfect place for our picnic on July 10.
Sitting under the massive gazebo with cool winds filtering through and good friendships made for a special and relaxing day. The picnic committee did an excellent job and is to be commended for their work. How can you make it any better? Will look forward to this annual event next summer.
The Manville Senior Citizens meet at noon on the second Thursday of each month at the VFW on Washington Avenue. The next regular meeting will be Thursday, Aug. 14, when results of the by-laws changes will be announced.
