The Monroe Township Cultural Arts Commission’s 2014 Music in the Park free summer concert series will continue with a performance by Sirocco Jazz, a local jazz quartet featuring vocalist Wendy Vaughn, 6 p.m. July 24 in the open-grove gazebo on the lake at Thompson Park, Monroe.
In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held at the Monroe Township Senior Center, Applegarth and Halsey Reid roads.
The remaining schedule is as follows:
July 31 — The Three Amigos, offering acoustic classic rock featuring local guitarist Elliot L. Stroul
Aug. 7 — Grupo Arcano, a salsa band from Brooklyn, N.Y.
Aug. 14 — Rave On!, featuring the music of early rock ’n’ roll legends including Buddy Holly and Roy Orbison
Concertgoers should bring their own chairs or blankets. All programs are funded in part by Ocean- First Foundation with support from Mayor Richard Pucci and the Monroe Township Council.
