LAWRENCE: Five seeking three school board seats

By Lea Kahn, Staff Writer
Five township residents — including one incumbent school board member — had filed to run for the three available seats on the Lawrence Township Board of Education by the 4 p.m. deadline Monday afternoon.
Incumbent school board member Dana Drake filed to run for re-election. The other candidates are Glenn Collins, Harriet W. Johnson, Max Ramos and Ian Wolf. The school board election will be held Nov. 4, in conjunction with the general election. The term is for three years.
Incumbent school board members Deborah Cherry and Bill Michaelson did not file petitions seeking re-election. Their terms, along with Ms. Drake’s term, expire in January 2015. Ms. Cherry has served one term on the school board and Mr. Michaelson has served three non-consecutive terms.
