A construction company working on South Branch Road reported July 12 that sometime in the previous week that two of their construction machines were damaged, and a construction trailer was reportedly broken into and graffiti was spraypainted on it. A heater, valued at $300, was missing from the trailer.
Damage to the equipment was valued at $5,000.
— The owner reported July 22 that stereo equipment was stolen from a vehicle left at a Route 206 business over the past six weeks. Value of the equipment was put at $1,940.
— Fernix Salcedo, 20, of Hillsborough was charged with underage possession of alcohol when several bottles were allegedly found in the vehicle he was driving when it was stopped on Opie Road. He was also charged with littering. He was released pending a court appearance.
— Police reported two incidents of alleged possession of marijuana in autos stopped by police.
Denise Hansen, 27, of Suffolk, Mass., was charged when the vehicle in which she was a passenger was stopped on Route 206 on July 5. She was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released with a date to come to court.
Benjamin Lubbers, 20, of Monmouth Junction was charged July 7 when driving on Amwell Road. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to maintain working lights. He was released with a date to come to court.
— John Pero 5th, 18 of Hillsborough was charged July 5 with obstruction of justice for allegedly failing to stop when an officer wanted to pull him over on Route 206. He was also summoned for improper passing and reckless driving.
