Area residents who want to run for seats on their respective boards of education had to file their candidate petitions by 4 p.m. on July 28.
In Robbinsville, the Board of Education election is held in November. This year Robbinsville has three, three-year vacancies on the Board of Education. Incumbents Shaina Ciaccio and Sharon DeVito will face newcomers Craig Heilman, Richard J. Young, and Andrew Usmiani in the election.
There will not be a contested election for the one open three-year term Allentown board seat on the Upper Freehold Regional Board of Education. Timothy Stolzenberger filed for the seat held by Gregg Barkley. Patrick Nolan filed for the Upper Freehold seat he currently holds on the regional board. No one filed for the other Upper Freehold seat held by Joseph Stampe.
In Roosevelt, there will not be a contested election as there are three, three-year term seats up for grabs and three residents who filed to run for them. Incumbents Seth Ditchik and Kenneth LeCompte and newcomer Cornelia P. Spoor will run uncontested for the seats in November.
In Millstone, there are also three, three-year term seats up for election and newcomer Cynthia Bailey and incumbents Melissa H. Riviello and John Saxton will run for them uncontested. There is also a one-year unexpired term for which no candidate filed a petition to run for in November.
