From Aug. 1 to 10, Animal Alliance will host "Feline Frenzy," two adoption weekends of discounted adoption rates for cats and kittens, at the Robert W. Curts Memorial Pet Adoption Center, 1432 Route 179 North in West Amwell.
The nonprofit charitable organization Animal Alliance has rescued a record number of cats and kittens this spring and summer that are in need of adoption.
Nearly all of the felines have been rescued locally from the streets, hoarding situations, neglectful and abusive situations and overcrowded shelters.
The regular adoption fee of $125 for kittens will be slashed to $50 for one kitten and $75 for two.
The adult adoption fee will be reduced from $75 to $50 for the first cat, with the second adult cat for $10.
Adoption center hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m., with an extra "Feline Frenzy" evening on Thursday, Aug. 7, from 3 to 8 p.m.
For questions or appointments, call 609-818-1952.
All cats and kittens can also be seen on the agency’s website at www.animalalliancenj.org.
All of the rescued cats and kittens have been vetted at Animal Alliance’s Planned Pethood Clinic, which includes being spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, treated for fleas/ticks, microchipped and bathed.
Each has received a screening blood test for FIV & Feline Leukemia, and are negative for both.
At Animal Alliance’s new center, interested adopters can observe all of the felines as they roam and play freely in the cat rooms, and spend time with them individually in the meet-and-greet rooms. The center’s retail center also provides necessities for any adopter, including cat/kitten collars, toys, food, grooming supplies and other accessories.
