Nick Turano of Manalapan, a certified personal trainer, is offering his services to the public through his new business, One More Rep: Sports and Fitness. A specialist in baseball hitting, pitching, fielding and catching instruction, his services also include one-on-one personal training, inhome, group/team, strength and conditioning training, as well as boot camp and boxing. A former Manalapan High School standout, Nick was a four-year scholar athlete and All-State catcher on the Rowan University baseball team. Inkwell Global Marketing, a privately owned promotional product company with headquarters in Manalapan, is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its first promotional product. Inkwell Promotions was founded by Ed Marder and his wife, Carol, in the basement of their home in Morganville. Today, the business occupies a 30,000- square-foot headquarters in Manalapan with satellite offices in New York City and Shenzhen, China. Along with their children, Steven, Elisa and Susan, the Marders have kept Inkwell a family business, employing almost 50 people. The company has been listed on the Promo Advertising Magazine list of top distributors of promotional products in the United States for the past five years. The New Jersey Auto Retailers Unite campaign has raised more than $300,000 to date for the Valerie Fund. Consumers who test drive a vehicle at any participating dealership will receive a sweepstakes card. They can use this card to register on the campaign’s website for a chance to win one of two new cars that will be given away at a Sept. 14 gala celebration at the New Jersey Expo Center in Edison. Anyone who purchases a vehicle at a participating dealership will receive three chances. Almost 180 dealerships have signed up since June 1 for the campaign, which will run through Sept. 30. Established in 1976 in memory of Valerie Goldstein, the Valerie Fund’s mission is to provide support for the comprehensive health care of children with cancer and blood disorders.
