There are only three, three-year term seats up for grabs in the November election for the Board of Education but 11 candidates have filed to run.
Those interested in running had to file petitions with the county clerk by 4 p.m. on July 28. This year, Patricia DelGuiudice’s, Susan Lombardo’s, and Joseph Malagrino’s terms on the board will end.
While Ms. DelGuiudice did not file a petition to seek another term, Ms. Lombardo and Mr. Malagrino did.
The incumbents will face nine others interested in seats on the board. They are Jennifer Kraemer, Christopher Frank Scales, Nancy Yantas, Garret P. Hengeli, Ann H. Wolf, Vincent McKelvey, Jeffery S. Hewitson, John Hulick and George W. Fisher.
The election will take place during the general election on Nov. 4.
