To the editor:
I’m writing to personally thank all the volunteers that worked at the Christ the Redeemer Festival this past week.
My wife Sharon and I attended almost every night, enjoying the great food, seeing old friends that we haven’t seen in a long time, meeting new ones and taking in the atmosphere of our great town. And none of it would have been possible if not for the citizens who gave up a large part of their and their family’s time by volunteering to ensure that the festival and its guests had a great week.
The volunteers, and their commitment to not only our parish, but to our community, show the best things about our community that you can’t find anywhere else.
So, on behalf of myself and my family, I want to once again say thank you to all who made this festival a success once again. To sum it all up, I’d like to use a quote from Albert Schweitzer: "The interior joy we feel when we have done a good deed is the nourishment the soul requires."
