The Long Branch Concordance Family Success Center at 300 Broadway in Long Branch has teamed up with the Community Health Law Project, the Hope Coalition and Legal Services of New Jersey to offer free services for those affected by superstorm Sandy.
From 4-7 p.m. Aug. 7, the Hope Coalition will discuss disaster-recovery budgeting, insurance claims, paying a mortgage on a destroyed home, home inspections, repair contracts and other items.
From 5-7 p.m. Aug. 12, Legal Services of New Jersey staff will be available for a free legal clinic through their Hurricane Sandy Legal Assistance Project. Families and individuals will be able to sit and speak with a representative from Legal Services.
The Affordable Housing Alliance will also be at the Aug. 12 clinic to meet with families affected by Sandy. They will help residents work through the complex reconstruction process by providing individual counseling, group education and resources. Individual counseling assessments will review and evaluate each participant’s ability to move forward with repairing, rebuilding or relocating based on their individual capacity of committed financial resources and future sustainability.
