Forsgate to host charity event

Forsgate Country Club, Monroe Township, will host the Forsgate Foundation’s Chip in for Charity on Aug. 11. The fundraising and entertainment event, which is presented by Northeast Lock, will benefit Ryan’s Quest.

Forsgate touring ambassador and Ryder Cup legend Colin Montgomerie will make a special appearance at the club during the festivities, according to a press release.

The day will begin with 18-hole golf outings on Forsgate’s Banks Course and Palmer Course.

In the afternoon, Montgomerie, the 2014 Senior PGA champion and 2014 Senior U.S. Open champion, will compete in a four-hole skins game against area club champions.

The special day will culminate with an evening barbecue, silent auction and concert by The Nerds.

The entry fee for the golf outing is $295 on the Banks Course (which includes a meet and greet with Montgomerie, skins game spectator entry and the evening barbecue, auction and concert) or $150 on the Palmer Course (which includes admission to the skins game and evening events).

Golf outing participants will have the opportunity to win an Aston Martin with a hole-in-one on No. 7 on the Banks Course, or a 2014 Mercedes-Benz with a hole-inone on No. 2 of the Palmer Course.

The cost for the skins game, evening concert and barbecue is $50.

Items up for auction include a visit on the field for a Yankees batting practice; a photo and flag signed by 2014 British Open champion Rory McIlroy; “A Night in NYC” with elegant accommodations and VIP show tickets; an exclusive chef’s dinner; foursomes at private golf clubs; and much more.

In addition to Northeast Lock, premier sponsors for Chip in for Charity are High Grade Beverage and Hamilton Dental Associates.
