HAMILTON: Cardiologists set for charity event

Twelve local cardiologists have decided to play more than the role of doctors in the battle against heart disease.
Hamilton Cardiology Associates (HCA), a 12-doctor cardiology practice with locations in Hamilton and Princeton, will participate in the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk at Mercer County Park Marina Area on Sept. 7 in West Windsor.
With the goal of raising $5,000, HCA has developed T-shirts to sell to staff and patients, as well as backpacks with their logo, stress balls and paper hearts, which will be displayed throughout the practice with donors’ names. HCA is also sponsoring a water station at the event where staff will be handing out water to those walking. “The American Heart Association is instrumental in helping fight heart disease and we are beyond excited to be able to do our part to aid in the fight, especially on a local level,” said Hamilton Cardiology’s President and CEO, Dr. Mahmoud Ghusson. “We are dedicated to serving our patients and the community, and this is just another step in achieving that goal.”
According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the nation’s No. 1 killer, claiming more than 813,804 American lives a year.
Established in 1987, Hamilton Cardiology Associates is a full-service cardiology practice that provides the highest level of quality, accessible medical care to our patients. The practice includes board-certified cardiologists, nurse practitioners and physician assistants as well as registered nurses, certified technologists and critical personnel.
