LAMBERTVILLE: Eye doctor’s sign is reported stolen

June Grutzmacher of Lambertville reported at police headquarters Aug. 5 the theft of her wooden, rectangular business sign. With white background and black lettering, it read "June E. Grutzmacher, M.D., F.A.C.S. Ophthalmology, Disease and Surgery of the Eye." The sign also contained a picture of an eye and is valued at $500.
Police also reported:
— James C. Rymdeko, 61, of Warminster, Pennsylvania, was arrested for driving while under the influence on Aug. 6. Lt. Robert Brown stopped Mr. Rymdeko in the area of 25 S. Main St. minutes after midnight after his vehicle was seen been driven erratically. Mr. Rymdeko also was charged with failure to keep right and reckless driving. Mr. Rymdeko was released with a pending court date.
— Jonathan A. Carpenter, 30, of Senatobia, Mississippi, was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia on Aug. 7.
While conducting business checks, Lt. Robert Brown said he saw a parked motor vehicle in the parking lot of the Inn at Lambertville Station. Mr. Carpenter was sleeping inside the vehicle, police said. Mr. Carpenter was found to be in possession of CDS paraphernalia and arrested, charged and released with a pending court date.
— Alexandra Minikus, 24, of Flemington, was arrested for a warrant on Aug. 9. Patrolman Michael Gramlich conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 179 and North Franklin Street. Mr. Minikus, the passenger and owner of the vehicle, was found to be wanted on a $100 warrant for failure to appear in court and was arrested. He posted bail and was released.
— John B. Carlen, 37, of Elkton, Maryland, was arrested for a pending warrant. While on patrol, Patrolman Gramlich said he saw Mr. Carlen standing outside of his residence on Church Street and knew him to be wanted on an warrant. He was arrested for non-support in the amount of $945.93. The Hunterdon County Sheriff’s Department verified the warrant and Mr. Carlen was lodged at the county jail in lieu of bail.
— James T. Garzillo reported an attempted burglary to his vehicle Sunday at 1:07 a.m. Mr. Garzillo said he heard his vehicles car alarm go off at about 1 a.m. outside his residence on North Main Street. When he checked, he found fresh pry marks to the door of his vehicle. Patrolman Vincent Albani investigated.
