The Crosswicks Monthly Meeting has joined the reuse movement. They have just signed up for ShoeBox Recycling. They will be collecting shoes for reuse, spreading the message that worn is not worn out and hopefully connecting with people around the globe through the magic of a SoleMate note. Just like the old message in a bottle, only now the vessel is shoes. ShoeBox Recycling will send boxes to fill, pay for all shipping costs, and pay 50 cents per pound for good, reusable and re-wearable shoes that are collected. This collection will help the Monthly Meeting earn a little money while clearing out closets and sharing with those in need. There will be collection boxes in the Meeting House and First Day School on Front Street in Crosswicks. For more information, call 609-298-5616.
