New Hope arts and crafts festival coming Sept. 27

The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce will hold its 21st annual juried outdoor fine arts and crafts festival on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This event highlights the work of more than 175 artists and artisans specializing in watercolors, oils, pastels, pen-and-ink drawings, photography, silver and gold jewelry, ceramics, wearable art, glass, wood, sculpture and furniture.
Expected to attract more than 20,000 visitors over the two days, the festival will take place — rain or shine — at the New Hope-Solebury High School on West Bridge Street, New Hope.
The festival is the Chamber’s largest annual fundraiser to support business and tourism marketing endeavors for New Hope, and to spotlight the riverside community as one of the premier arts destinations in the country.
Festival Co-Chair Linda Rowe, of National Penn Bank in New Hope, said, "As with previous years, the New Hope Arts & Crafts committee will continue to maintain the highest standards for every exhibitor in the festival. We are excited to present more than $4,000 in prizes this year."
Judges will select first-, second- and third-prize winners for the categories of fine art, photography, crafts and jewelry. A "Best in Show" will also be chosen.
Visitors can expect performing art and live music, a food court with a variety of food and complimentary shuttle service from the festival area to New Hope’s Main Street.
The festival is sponsored in part by National Penn Bank and First Federal of Bucks County, the Bucks County Herald and the Intelligencer.
