Sandra Warfield, 53, of Spotswood, passed away peacefully, surrounded by members of her loving family, on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, after a brief illness. Sandra grew up in South River, where she was a lifelong member of the First Reformed Church on Thomas Street, and graduated from South River High School in 1978. She and her husband of 24 years, Robert Warfield, moved to Spotswood in 1993, where together they raised their daughter, Amanda, for the last 19 years. Sandra worked as a dental assistant and then office manager in a dental practice in East Brunswick for 30 years. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, marvelous cooking and her love for her family and friends. Surviving are her husband Robert, daughter Amanda, and four brothers, Kenneth Drozd and wife Elaine, of Jackson, John Drozd Jr. and wife Barbara, of South Amboy, Gary Drozd and wife Marge, of Spotswood, and Robert Drozd and wife Beverly, of South River. She is also survived by many adoring nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A funeral service was held at the First Reformed Church in South River, followed by interment in the Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River, where she was laid to rest alongside her loving parents, John and Rose Drozd. Arrangements were under the direction of the Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick.
