MCAR 5K raises funds for The Boys & Girls Clubs

Monmouth County Association of Realtors (MCAR) held its first 5K/1-Mile Walk recently in Asbury Park. Realtors and community members came out for a beautiful morning run at the beach to support the Boys and Girls Clubs of Monmouth County (BCGM).

All of the proceeds from the event were donated to The Boys and Girls Clubs of Monmouth County and MCAR was pleased to present the organization with a check for $2,500.

“Our first 5K/1-Mile Walk was a great success,” said MCAR President Robert White. “Members of our public relations, associates and affiliate committees collaborated to make this a truly awesome event. We are thrilled to be able to make this contribution to such a wonderful local organization, and MCAR has set a high bar for next year’s event.”

“The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County works hard every day to effect positive change in the lives of our county’s young people,” said Douglas Eagles, executive director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County. “When school is out, the Club is in. It’s groups like the Monmouth County Association of Realtors that enable us to continue making a difference in the lives of children.”

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County provides safe places for young people in Monmouth County, especially those who need it most, where they can receive programs and services that will help them realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
