I would like to give the highest honor of thanks to the Carnegie Freehold Public Library in Freehold Borough. Reading has always been a constant in my life, and when a mentor of mine told me, “When you read, you are never alone,” it all made sense.
I was unable to leave my house due to health issues, so the Carnegie Library was off limits to me physically. That did not stop three great women at the library from keeping me well-read.
My husband, Robert, and my friend Rose Kelly (Friends of the Library) would drop off my “tablet of books I’ve read” and these three awesome women, Teri, Kathy and Eileen, would choose and gather a halfdozen books for me to indulge myself and live life vicariously through the characters in the books.
They would fill my bag with authors I have read and desired to read, and would sporadically toss in an author that was unknown to me. With all the new authors they have shared with me, I now have new characters in my life.
Thank you again and keep up the great work. Be blessed, be happy and think peace. Leslie A. Taylor Freehold Borough
