NORTH BRUNSWICK — A teacher at North Brunswick Township High School has set an unofficial record.
Science teacher Robert Goldman has sent more than 3,000 letters to men and women serving overseas in the military. He created the patriotic program by providing information for his students to write after they completed a test or quiz in class.
“One of the military soldiers visited the class and told them that she was in the military for 20 years and never received a letter until the hundreds that she received from Mr. Goldman’s science classes,” Goldman said.
This year, the focus was on to write letters to three graduates from the high school, with one of the former graduates stationed in Afghanistan.
