Wine festival returns to Allaire

Allaire Village and the Garden State Wine Growers Association will hold the annual Jazz It Up wine festival at the Historic Village at Allaire in Allaire State Park, Atlantic Avenue, Wall Township, noon to 5 p.m. Aug. 30-31.

The rain date for the event is Sept. 1.

The event will offer more than 200 wines for sampling and music by various groups.

Tickets for the festival are available at the gate for $25 (cash only) per person.

Advance discount tickets can be purchased at www.newjerseywines.com through Aug. 29.

Admission to the wine festival includes a souvenir wine glass and a wristband allowing sampling of all the wines. Designated drivers and those under age 21 will be admitted free.

Most of the wineries accept credit cards; if needed, there is an ATM machine in the village’s General Store.

Picnic baskets and coolers are permitted; however, Garden State Wine Growers reserve the right to check these items upon admittance. Outside alcohol is not permitted.
