HAMILTON: Septemberfest comes to Veterans Park on Sunday

HAMILTON — With new activity areas for children, a Peddlers Village-style crafters’ area for adults and a live radio broadcast, this year’s Septemberfest has more to offer the entire family.
Mayor Kelly Yaede is inviting residents to enjoy this year’s Septemberfest on Sunday, Sept. 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Hamilton Township’s Veterans Park.
Celebrating its 32nd year as Hamilton’s largest and most popular community event, residents and visitors can enjoy vendors, exhibitions, food, entertainment, children’s activities and much more.
"Septemberfest is one of our community’s most popular events and is an annual tradition in Hamilton," Mayor Yaede said. "With some exciting new features for our children and families, this year’s Septemberfest will be another great celebration for our residents and visitors to enjoy."
Two kid activity zones will be offered inside Veterans Park’s Klockner Road and Kuser Road entrances. Returning to the Klockner Road end of the park with new and different exhibits will be the "Touch-a-Truck" exhibit where children can step inside various vehicles, a fire truck, a "Bouncy," face-painting, a children’s slide, a petting zoo and an antique automobile display.
The kid activity zone on the park’s Kuser Road side will feature several amusement rides tailored for younger children, a rock climbing wall and other attractions.
Additionally, the park’s Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Road entrance will offer a pony ride for children to enjoy.
The park’s Yardville-Hamilton Square Road side will offer several activities for adults to enjoy, such as the "Crafter’s Nook," a Peddlers Village-style crafters area, a special "Shop Hamilton" vendor section, musical entertainment and a large food court.
Throughout the event, WPST (94.5 FM) will have a live radio station broadcast.
Parking will be available in several locations, such as Steinert High School (2900 Klockner Road), Grice Middle School (901 Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Road), and the Ancient Order of Hibernians Hall (2419 Kuser Road). Transportation to and from these parking areas will be provided throughout the event.
Additionally, to assist attendees with special needs, handicapped-accessible parking areas will be offered on both the Kuser Road and Klockner Road entrances to Veterans Park.
