The annual Monroe Township 9/11 Memorial Ceremony will be held on Thursday, September 11, at the Monroe Township Memorial Tree Park on Prospect Plains and Half Acre Road.
The ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the 9-11 Memorial and will include a flag-raising, prayer, brief remarks, and a memorial wreath laying.
The Monroe Township Tree Park is the site of the 9-11 Memorial, dedicated in 2002, which bears the names of Monroe Township family members that were touched by this tragedy.
This is a free event and the community is welcome to attend.
Parking will be available along Prospect Plains Road.
Free shuttle service will be provided from the Municipal Building parking lot, located at 1 Municipal Plaza beginning at 9 a.m.
Limited handicapped parking will be available in the Memorial Tree Park parking lot; all others should utilize the free shuttle bus service.
