BORDENTOWN — The senior class of Bordentown Regional High School was welcomed back to school a day earlier than the rest of the district.
The high school administration, faculty, and staff used Wednesday, Sept. 3 to make sure that the seniors enter their final year with correct mindset as they prepare for their future.
Retiring high school principal, Patrick Lynch, welcomed the students back to school and offered his six pearls of wisdom for a successful high school career.
Aside from staying on track academically, he pointed out that pupils who get involved with the many school activities as well as community service will have the best memories when they reach adulthood.
Superintendent of Schools Edward Forsthoffer also welcomed the students and remarked that he had never worked in a district that held a senior orientation for the seniors. He pointed out that this "unique experience" demonstrated how serious the district is about guaranteeing the future of its students as they prepare to leave.
The senior class also met with their class advisors before attending three breakout groups. The three sessions dealt with security, guidance and college/career readiness, and senior expectations and pitfalls.
At the end of a long and informative day, the students were transported home in preparation for the district-wide opening on Thursday, Sept. 4.
