Lambertville police reported arresting and charging three people with driving while under the influence.
Brett J. Simon, 20, of Titusville was arrested for DUI on Saturday after Patrolman Bast stopped his vehicle in the area of North Main Street and Jefferson Street at 2:58 a.m. for allegedly driving erratically.
The officer determined Mr. Simon to be under the influence of alcohol and also charged him with careless driving. He was released with a pending court date.
Jozsef Gartai, 58, of Princeton, was arrested and charged on Friday. Sept. 5. Patrolman Bast stopped Mr. Gartai in the area of Route 518 a little after 11 p.m. after he was allegedly seen driving erratically.
Mr. Gartai was also charged with speeding, reckless driving and failing to keep to the right. He was later released with a pending court date.
Lt. Robert Brown stopped Zachary R. Johnson, 19, of Lambertville on Route 179 a little after 11 p.m. Aug. 21 after he was allegedly observed driving erratically. Mr. Johnson was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and subsequently arrested.
Mr. Johnson was also charged with DUI, failure to stop at a traffic light and reckless driving. He was later released with a pending court date.
In other incidents reported by city police:
— Brian D. Case Jr., 27, of Lambertville, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia on Friday. Lt. Robert Brown stopped a vehicle whose driver allegedly failed to dim its high-beam headlights in the area of Grant Avenue. Lt. Brown allegedly detected the strong odor of burnt marijuana. Police said Mr. Case, who was the rear seat passenger, admitted to smoking marijuana and turned over a glass pipe. Mr. Case was charged with CDS paraphernalia and later released with a pending court date.
— Brian Sweeney, 31, of Philadelphia was arrested on Friday for a pending warrant.
Patrolman Albani said he saw Mr. Sweeney driving without a seatbelt in the area of Route 29 and Alexauken Creek Road. The car was stopped in the area of North Main Street and Ely Field. An investigation showed Mr. Sweeney was found to face an active warrant issued from Wildwood for $211. Mr. Sweeney was arrested and processed for the warrant, and was also charged with failing to wear a seatbelt, being an unlicensed driver and failing to exhibit a valid registration card. Mr. Sweeney was released on the warrant and given a court date to respond to the motor vehicle summonses.
— Patrolman Memolo investigated the theft of a golf cart from the Lambertville Station Inn.
An employee of the Inn reported a golf cart used by inn employees had been taken sometime during the night. The officer found the golf cart wedged in trees along the canal towpath.
— Ernest Foley, 49, of Philadelphia was issued a special summons complaint from Lt. Robert Brown for allegedly being in Cavallo Park after park hours at 9:56 p.m.

Lt. Christopher Kascik reported that at 2:06 p.m. Aug. 27, Hopewell Township Officer John Ferner stopped the driver of a red Suzuki on Church Road near Bear Tavern Road for an alleged motor vehicle violation.
Following an investigation, the officer charged driver Brett A. Nord, 26, of Sergeantsville Road, Stockton, with driving while under the influence, failure to stay in a lane, driving while his license was suspended or revoked, reckless driving and driving without a license. He also was found to face pending warrants from Montgomery Township. He was taken to police headquarters, where he was held until turned over to Montgomery Township Police. He was then remanded to the Somerset County Jail. His case will be heard in municipal court.
Passenger Rebecca K. Aspray, 30, of Brunt Hill Road, Skillman, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of prescription drugs without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transported to police headquarters, where she was processed and released. Her case will be reviewed by the Mercer County prosecutor’s office.

Police reported:
— A15-year-old from Pennington was cited for retail theft at 6:50 p.m. Aug. 23 after he allegedly removed a Native American necklace/pouch, valued at $90, from a South Main Street establishment.
— A Brooklyn woman reported to police Aug. 18 that, three days prior, about $4,000 worth of jewelry had been stolen from her room at a West Bridge Street bed and breakfast.
— A New Street resident reported at 4:30 p.m. to police Aug. 18 that, at some time during the prior three days, someone had stolen his red Vespa motorcycle, valued at $1,200, from outside his residence.
— Police cited Gregory Stem, 30, of Bloomsbury, at 1:22 a.m. Aug. 17 for harassment and public drunkenness after he allegedly created a disturbance inside a South Main Street establishment.
