Police investigate burglaries to residences, businesses, cars

NORTH BRUNSWICK — Police have received numerous reports of burglaries to residences, businesses and vehicles over the past two months.

A Toyota Corolla that was parked on Delaware Drive was entered on Aug. 27, and a brown and gold wallet was stolen.

Also that day, an estimated $10,000 worth of jewelry was reported stolen from an Aaron Road residence.

Some $300 worth of cash and perfume products was reported stolen from a 2006 Volkswagen Passat that was parked at an Oak Tree Drive residence Aug. 26-27.

On Aug. 26, items including cash, jewelry and a laptop were reported stolen from a First Avenue residence.

A 2002 Audi A4 that was parked on Emerson Road was damaged during a reported break-in on Aug. 24.

A Birchwood Court residence was burglarized on Aug. 23. Two televisions, a video game system, a video game and $4,000 in cash were reported stolen.

Approximately $2,000 was reported stolen from a Hidden Lake Drive storage unit between Aug. 10 and 23.

Two burglaries were reported on Noah Road. On Aug. 15, the window frame and screen of a residence was damaged, and jewelry and money were stolen from the home. On Aug. 18, a screen was pried open at another home. The house was ransacked and jewelry was stolen.

A safe containing a large amount of cash and an assortment of power tools was stolen from Dream Well Mattresses on Nassau Street between Aug. 14 and 15. An attempt was made to pry open another safe in the business, according to the police report.

Tools and fishing supplies were reported stolen from the shed of a Hemingway Drive residence between Aug. 10 and 11.

Jewelry was stolen from a Sixth Street residence between Aug. 3 and 10.

Two window screens and a window were reportedly damaged at an Oak Road residence on Aug. 6.

Police are investigating the reports.
