Portions of North Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic Saturday, Sept. 13, for the Thompson Classic Bicycle Race, which will end in New Hope. Parking will be prohibited on the street for much of the day.
North Main Street will be closed to traffic between East Randolph and West Randolph streets from 9 a.m. until about 5 p.m. West Randolph Street will be closed to vehicle traffic as well during that time.
Vehicle traffic will be permitted on North Main Street, between Bridge Street and East Randolph Street, until noon, and on North Main Street between Route 202 and West Randolph Street until noon. After noon, no through traffic will be permitted on North Main Street between Route 202 and Bridge Street.
Residents of North Main Street will be permitted to travel on North Main Street until about 1:30 p.m. After that time and until about 3 p.m. no traffic will be permitted on North Main Street.
In addition, all parking meters on North Main, East Randolph, West Randolph and West Parry streets will be bagged "No Parking" starting at about 11 p.m. on Friday. Any vehicle in a bagged space as of 8 a.m. Saturday will be removed by police at the owner’s expense.
