HAMILTON — The 2014 Ironman 70.3 Princeton triathlon will impact traffic on various roads across Hamilton (with competitors on bicycles) as well as other roads in neighboring towns on Sunday, Sept. 21.
Several roads will be closed to only local traffic (only residents who live on the street in question) and include various traffic detours from 7:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. in some areas.
Major Hamilton roads affected include: Cabot Drive, Estates Boulevard, Extonville Road, George Dye Road, Hughes Drive, Iron Bridge Road, Klockner Road, Mercer Street, Old York Road, Route 33, Sawmill Road, South Broad Street and Yardville-Hamilton Square Road.
Residents traveling on the morning of Sunday, Sept. 21, may wish to avoid these areas.
The Hamilton Police Division wants to remind motorists to exercise caution while traveling and thank them for their cooperation in ensuring safety all across the community for both residents and visitors.
