MILLSTONE: Six injured in I-95 crash

MILLSTONE — Four vehicles crashed near mile marker 15.8 on I-95 at 4:40 p.m. on Sunday.
One vehicle overturned off the roadway and six people were injured including one who was trapped inside of a vehicle, according to the Millstone Township Board of Fire Commissioners.
Millstone firefighters were the first to arrive at the scene and began providing patient care to the most seriously injured victims and immediately requested additional ambulances and a medevac helicopter.
Firefighters used hydraulic extrication tools to remove both passenger side doors and a support post to free the entrapped patient.
A landing zone was established at the scene to allow the medevac helicopter to land at the scene.
Those injured were transported to area hospitals by ambulances from the Plumsted Township Fire District, Freehold First Aid Squad, and the Englishtown Manalapan First Aid Squad.
The accident is under investigation by the New Jersey State Police.
