SPRINGFIELD: New farm opens in Jobstown

SPRINGFIELD — Johnson’s Corner Farm, of Medford, opened its second location on Sept. 12 in Jobstown.
Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm is a 300-acre farm located at the northern tip of Burlington County in Springfield Township. The Johnson family purchased the historic farm last December with plans to open this fall at 2681 Monmouth Road.
The farming family, long known for its Medford farm with pick-your-own crops, bakery and family entertainment, will open the Locust Hall location in time for the pumpkin harvest.
"The farm is truly coming alive as we paint barns, install fencing for a children’s animal farmyard and ready the pumpkin patches for families to come out and enjoy this beautiful farm with us," said Pete Johnson, who owns the farm with his brother, Eric. "I just was out in the corn maze and can imagine the sounds of families journeying through."
In addition to hayrides, pumpkin picking and a family-friendly corn maze, an historic bank barn on the farm will be open for public viewing.
Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm will host festivals each Saturday and Sunday throughout the fall, with live music and festival food.
Hayride and corn-maze tickets are $3.75 each and pumpkins are 79 cents a pound. For more information, visit www.johnsonsfarm.com.
