HAMILTON: Bullets hit car on Roberts Avenue

HAMILTON — Police found six bullet holes in a car parked on Roberts Avenue early Saturday morning.
Officers Justin McWilliam and Michael Kenna were dispatched to the 1700 block on a report of gunshots at 3:27 a.m.
The victim’s son told police he was at a party in Trenton earlier in the evening and broke up a fight between his friends and a group of individuals. As he was leaving the party to drive his friends home in his mother’s black Toyota Camry, he heard someone shout "we know where you live," according to police.
His mother said she woke up to the sound of shots being fired and looked out her window to see a male wearing a white hooded sweatshirt walking down Roberts Avenue with another individual. She was not able to provide a detailed description of either person.
Police discovered her black 1993 Toyota Camry parked in front of her residence had been shot at several times.
During the course of this investigation Detective Berish made several attempts to speak and meet with the victim’sson regarding this incident. The victim’s son has not returned any of Detective Berish’s phone calls, according to police.
