A 43-year-old homeless man, who suffered a broken leg, has been charged with criminal trespass for entering an abandoned building on Quakerbridge Road, according to Chief of Police Mark Ubry.
Police were alerted by a citizen that a man, later identified as Kevin Roach, was lying on the ground outside the building, at 2:57 p.m. Sept. 19, Chief Ubry said. Police discovered that he had suffered a broken leg.
Mr. Roach told police that he entered the building about four days earlier without permission, Chief Ubry said. He fell down and broke his leg. He said he finally gathered enough strength to make it out of the building.
Mr. Roach was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton for treatment.
