Help celebrate National Chemistry Week (NCW) 2014 with the Princeton Section of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and Princeton University. Come to our NCW "Candy" Activities Night on Friday, October 24.
This year’s NCW theme is “The Sweet Side of Chemistry n Candy”. There will be demonstrations, videos, and hands-on activities related to the chemistry of candy, supervised by local scientists and students. As a special treat, Pattie Robinson of Robinson’s Chocolates, Montgomery, NJ will be giving presentations in Taylor Auditorium on why hand made chocolates and machine made chocolates don’t taste the same.

Where: Princeton University, Frick Chemistry Laboratory, Taylor Commons
Who: Recommended for ages 5 and up. Children under 13 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

In conjunction with this event, The Princeton Section of the American Chemical Society (ACS) is sponsoring an illustrated poem contest for students in K – 8th grade. Poems will be on display and awards presented to the winners during the Activities Night on October 24.

Contest Deadline: Poems must be received by October 17, 2014
Prizes: 1st & 2nd Place in K-2nd; 3rd-5th and 6th-8th grade categories
