This summer, two brothers who grew up in Hopewell Valley decided to take the proverbial entrepreneurial bull by the horns and start their own business.
So, 26-year-old Cody Disch and his 23-year-old brother Sage Disch formed Ace & Everett, which offers high quality, American-made socks and pocket squares.
The brothers are sons of former Hopewell Borough Councilman Ray Disch, who now lives in Hopewell Township.
"Ace & Everett is a contemporary men’s fashion company rooted in accessories," Cody Disch said. "Our designs are inspired by the modern American male and his pursuit of authenticity."
The socks, made in North Carolina by the firm Harriss & Covington, specialize in vivid colors and unique patterns. All the socks are made with top-grade, domestically grown Supima cotton.
"We’re trying to step into the world where people embrace originality," Cody Disch said. "Patterns are their means of expression. Original patterns are what set our socks apart from the rest. Each product reflects the urban lifestyle, inspired by New York City’s architecture, art, fashion and culture. Life is short. Let your ankles speak."
Ace & Everett is named after the brothers’ grandfather, Raymond Everett Disch Sr.
"Nicknamed ’Ace,’ he was known for his attention to detail, style, determination, coupled with a fantastic sense of humor," Cody Disch said.
On Sept. 19, Ace & Everett hosted its first trunk show featuring its summer 2014 collection.
At Hopewell Borough’s cruise night, Ace & Everett showcased a 1964 Rolls Royce filled with a trunk of colorful socks.
