A comprehensive boating safety course will be held 6-9 p.m. Oct. 20, 27 and Nov. 3 at the Keyport Yacht Club, 115 First St., Keyport.
Participants who complete the course and pass the test will earn a New Jersey Safe Boating Certificate. Classes are taught by certified instructors of the Raritan Bay Power Squadron.
The cost is $85. Two additional nights of instruction covering basic information on both paper and digital charts, course plotting and basic piloting techniques will be made available to participants at no charge.
