CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township, announces the opening of The Lactation Center at CentraState in its First Impressions Maternity Center. The Lactation Center at CentraState offers a comfortable and supportive environment to help educate, counsel and support breastfeeding mothers. During one-on-one consultations in a private setting, a board-certified lactation consultant can assist new mothers with a variety of concerns, including:
assessment of a mother’s milk supply and infant’s intake during feeding
instruction on latching and positioning techniques
instruction on breastfeeding and going back to work
choosing the right breastfeeding pump

CentraState also offers a wide range of prenatal and parenting classes through its Star and Barry Tobias Health Awareness Center.
